After Installation Care

Once your doors or windows have been installed, whether it be by our trusted installer or by your own installer, it is important to keep them clean and well maintained.

The ongoing care and maintenance of your doors or windows is an essential factor in keeping them in good condition and also ensuring your warranty is maintained.

Below are a few helpful tips on cleaning and maintenance.

  • To ensure that you continue to get the look you are hoping for in your home, it is important to keep your glass panels clean. This will help keep your home bright and let as much light in as possible.

  • Before using any wet products on your glass, use a microfibre or soft cloth to wipe down any dust that may be on the surface.

  • An environmentally friendly way to clean your glass panel is with diluted white vinegar and warm water in a spray bottle.

  • Spray the whole surface with this solution, starting from the top working your way down to the bottom.

  • Wipe the solution clean in a circular motion with a microfibre or soft cloth. Do not leave the solution on to dry itself, this will leave unwanted streaks.

  • Cleaning your powered coated frames is as easy as wiping them down with warm soapy water.

  • Ensure you use a microfibre or soft cloth. Do not use a scraper or steel wool.

  • Frames and glass should not be pressure cleaned this can cause breakage and damage

  • Hinges and locks may require oiling from time to time, if you come across squeakiness or stiffness you can use a spray lubricant to loosen.
